Looks like the previous rumors about having a contacts search feature (The small magnifying glass found above the letter “A”) in the latest release of Apple’s iPhone/Touch firmware happen to be true!.. and if it wasn’t, Apple’s been roaming around the net, taking our ideas into consideration - which works just the same if you ask me.
As you can see above, the search form appears just above the “My Number” slot, which is found above the actual contacts list. This’ll definitely be a handy feature to those who have over 300 contacts in their contacts list.
Aside from the addition of the ability to search your contacts list, there is a meeting invite feature as well. This is what that previously-unknown drawer button does, which displays the number of requests just like the SMS and mail icons.
The catch is, these features are supposedly only available to Enterprise users.
Oh yea, and one more thing. Enterprise users don’t get the app store or iTunes store icons.
One or the other?… Come on, Apple. You can do better than that.
Check out some more screens provided by Engadget, here.
