Zdziarski; One of First iPhone/Touch Hackers, Speaks at Apple Store Event

Boston iPhone Event

The Boston Apple Store at the Cambridgeside Galleria held an event (one of many) on March 24th. The crazy thing about the whole event is that Apple allowed for one of the very first software engineers to bypass the iPhone’s restrictions on loading third-party software; Zdziarski, to speak at said event.

Jonathan Zdziarski talked about the recently released iPhone SDK, the iPhone application development as a whole, and about his own personal work.

Mr. Zdziarski is the author of a forthcoming O’Reilly Media book; iPhone Open Application Development, which explains in detail how to jailbreak an iPhone.

Read more about the recent event here.

While you’re at it, this is also a good read: The iPhone SDK: APIs Apple Didn’t Want You to Know About.

I think Zdziarski’s blog said it better than the article on xconomy.com did, but it was still solid. I like to see that, the hackers get their fair share of time to say “HEY APPLE LOOK WHAT WE WANT!” instead of Apple forcing us to do what they want.
