SEGA!!I hope you’ve been getting your Sega ROM collection in order, because now that it has run through the beta circuit, ZodTTD’s genesis4iPhone has been unleashed on the hoi-polloi.

ZodTTD.com announces the public release of genesis4iphone v1.0.1. genesis4iphone is a Sega Genesis and Sega CD emulator for the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch.
It is currently available via Installer.app courtesy of the Community Sources at ModMyiFone.com. It is also available at the official ZodTTD.com repo. Manual downloads are being posted and will be available shortly.

I encourage everyone to join in on the forums here at ZodTTD.com and share your genesis4iphone experiences by heading to the newly created genesis4iphone section:

The emulator features a pretty decent level of compatibility with most Genesis cartridges, and also supports SegaCD ISOs, though I haven’t yet tried any out. The speed is also quite good, in some cases approaching realtime, and in others slowing down to maybe 75%, depending on the complexity of the ROM. From what I have tried, there are still quite a few games that don’t work, so if your favourite doesn’t boot up, you’ll have to wait for a future update. Both portrait and landscape modes are supported, and several controller skins are bundled, with more being available from skinners across the various message boards. The rest of the emulator is pretty familiar to anyone who has used Zod’s other emus.
