Timetable.app Coming Along Great

The creator of the Timetable.app is holding a contest on his website. He’s asking for help designing a new application icon for the iPhone/Touch so that he has one ready for the final release of the application itself. Your prize is to have the pride and honor of being the application’s icon designer which will be seen on thousands of iPhones and iPod Touches around the world. Also, you’ll have your name placed on the About page of the application.
The creator of the app decided to remove the swiping effect he had previously planned, because according to him, “People want information, not fancy stuff”.
Here’s his current progression stance:
A few problems I have at the moment are different sized tables, disappearing keyboards and no ability to load or save your timetable. It is coming along nicely though.
He also states on his website:
Why do it?
I began to tire of taking my shoddy paper timetable out of my bag everyday to check what lessons I had next in my school day. Each time I took out my timetable slid it back in its designated pocket in my bag, it would become more and more bent and battered – Plus the fuss required to get the timetable out of a tightly packed pocket in the first place – (I have a shoulder bag, so I have to swing it around to access it properly without putting my back out)
Seeing as I already use my iPod in school as it is (teachers think of it more of a gadget they can’t understand rather than an MP3 player or “phone…”) maybe this was the time to develop an application that I could claim as my own – maybe make some money off it – and impress everyone in the process by explaining how I’m staying up til 3 in the morning coding it… This is why I want to do it . So I’m starting NOW!
Here are a few screens of the app in its current state:
