On Thursday, Apple Inc. released the second beta of the iPhone SDK. It now includes Interface Builder, which helps in the design of application interfaces. According to the new SDK’s readme file, this seems to be the only major update in the new release.
Apple states that the second beta SDK is known to be incompatible with installation folders other than the default /Developer.
The second beta of the SDK includes an interface builder, the Xcode integrated development environment, the iPhone simulator, frameworks and samples, compilers, and the Shark analysis tool.
iPhone had released the first beta of the iPhone SDK earlier this month, on March 6th. According to InformationWeek, Apple has been receiving many complains in regards to the fact that developers will have to make their apps available only through apples App Store, and cannot distribute it freely on their own websites, etc.
If you plan on downloading the new SDK version, just be known that it is 2.1GB’s in size.
Can’t wait to see what you’ve all got planned out for release in June!
