(FiTotW stands for Free iTunes of the Week) Apple provides a list of a select few pieces of media in which they provide to the masses for free, each week. The media listed below will not be free for long, so hurry up and take advantage of this great opportunity while it is still here.

US: Karyme Lozano,
Each week, we find a track from an artist or a band who’s on the cusp of success and bring it to you, for free, as our Canción de la Semana. Mexico City’s Karyme Lozano is one of the most well-known actresses in the world of telenovelas. The young actress has been going strong since she first debuted on Tres Mujeres in 1999. This track from her debut Prohibido takes a pared-down reggaeton beat and spikes up the norteño influence while Lazano adds in her own luscious vocals.

Pasen is de tijd van de Passies. Klassieke werken die het paasverhaal vertalen naar muziek en zang. Al jaren stromen de concertzalen vol met liefhebbers om de verschillende passies te kunnen ervaren. De beroemdste is natuurlijk de Mattheus Passie van Johan Sebastiaan Bach. MGMT is a group from Brooklyn whose debut was produced by Flaming Lips constant, Dave Fridmann. They also spent a good part of 2007 creating new fans while opening for Of Montreal. Brightly-lit psychedelic rock with electronic overtones is how you might describe “Weekend Wars.” It’s a blinding pop gem bedazzled with laser rays and glam-rock’s finesse.

ブ レイク直前の新進アーティストをフリーダウンロードのトラックとともにご紹介するこのページ。今回はスイス出身の4人組、7 Dollar Taxi。2003年にヴォーカルのティチィアンと弟のシーザー、そして 友人のクリストファーとサイモンが集まり、バンドを結成。 ティチィアンの伯父さんが提案してくれた160個のバンド名の中から英語が話せない人でもわかりやすい名前でバンドを命名。The Clash、Fleetwood Mac、U2や、最近ではFranz Ferdinand、Kings Of Leon、The Strokesなどを聞いて 育ってきた彼らの楽曲は、とってもキャッチーなものばかり。NMEでは”Radar Breaking Band”にノミネートされ、本国のみならずUK、US、オーストラリアなど世界中で話題沸騰中!!
