CrazyKart 2: Possible Upcoming Racing Game

by Jake Brooks on March 9, 2008 at 9:15 pm

ban_int13.gifCrazyKart 2 is a 3D clone of Mario Kart produced by Int13 Productions for PDA and mobile phones. Recently a video was found on YouTube, depicting an iPhone featuring this game. The video demonstrating a virtual touch steering wheel for controls. After seeing the demos of Spore and Super Monkey Ball at the SDK release presentation the graphics look legitimate. Though, it makes me wonder why the game does not use the accelerometer for controls. As a Nintendo fan, I think a Mario Kart clone would be great for the iPhone or iPod Touch. This game is rumored to be released around June, which is when the App Store is to be released. Suspicious?

Here are the supposed game specs (translated from French):

- 320×320 Play area
- Touch controls with virtual wheel
- 3 types of vehicles (karts, two-wheelers, dragsters)
- 6 different characters each with their own vehicle
- Downloadable content (new vehicles, new maps)
- Online multiplayer over WiFi up to 4 players

Here is a video of the fabled game:
