Firmware 1.1.4 Released

If you’ve loaded iTunes today, you may have noticed a couple of updates waiting in the form of both an iTunes update to 7.6.1.9, and a rather hefty firmware update for iPhone and iPod Touch to version 1.1.4. (So much for the “Update 2″ rumor) Thus far, tests have confirmed that the upgrade appears to go smoothly on both jailbroken and virgin devices, but it doesn’t bring any obvious new features to the table — those are likely reserved for the possibly-maybe-imminent release of the SDK. On the other hand, jailbreaking 1.1.4 is another matter entirely. ZiPhone claims success upon completion of its run, but the jailbreak doesn’t appear to take. We do know that the iPhone Dev Team has a trick or two up their collective sleeves in the form of a native jailbreak for 1.1.3, but will it work on 1.1.4? My guess is that we’re going to find out very soon.

What exactly is so “boring” about this site? Its probably the most up to date and informative blog about the iPhone and iPod Touch out there. If you don’t like it then you shouldn’t be spamming the comments.

@IpOdToUCh - Generally speaking, when one goes to a site and finds it boring, they simply don’t come back to visit. Posting messages like that is trolling. Your comments here will now require moderation before they are posted.

IpOdToUCh, grow the hell up, will ya?..
It’s not your cash, nor your domain, so don’t worry about it.
If you find the site boring, take your leave and don’t come back.
