We’re Looking For a Writer (or Two). APPLY WITHIN!
by Jody Mitoma on February 25, 2008 at 10:26 am

UPDATE [February 27th]:
We found ourselves a writer. Thanks for all who were interested. We are no longer looking.
Dear Touch Podium readers,
News is a little slow here, because I, personally, have become fairly busy with a new job that has been taking quite a bit of my writing time. You will still see me writing often enough, but things will be a little slower on my end – which brings me to the reason I post here this morning.
We’re currently looking for another writer or two here at Touch Podium.
First, you must possess excellent written command of the English language (spelling, grammar and composition count) and a decent nose for news. Connections in the community and/or sources would be nice, but we can provide some of those. (Conversely, if you are well-connected, we’d love to share sources.) The ability and understanding of when to write OpEd (opinion/editorial) pieces, the occasional review, and maybe compile a top 10 roundup or two when news is a little slow would also help. We try to maintain a certain professional image, though the writing style here tends towards the informal, so you needn’t be a suit-and-tie-wearing anchorman, but a certain amount of respectable decorum is advised.
How to apply:
E-mail a copy of your resume or some samples of your writing to jody.mitoma[at]gmail.com. Within that e-mail, tell me why I should chose you to be the next Touch Podium writer.
Touch Podium is currently a non-profit blog, so presently this will be on a volunteer basis. For more information regarding how and if you’ll be getting paid to write for us, don’t hesitate to ask via e-mail using the same e-mail address posted above.
Apply to write for us today! We are looking forward to reading your material!

Sounds good h4xor.
Thank you for your interest.

dude! Gimme a chance! I check this site everyday!
February 25th, 2008 at 7:34 pm
h4×0r, please leave this sort of thing to the e-mails.
You were not accept because of your age. Period.
That goes for the rest of you also. If you’re under the age of 17, I’m afraid we’re going to have to pass on your will to want to write for us. I apologize in advance.
Have a good night.

That is funny because one of your EDITORS is 15.

‘LOL’, in case you haven’t noticed, Justin has been let go this evening. He is no longer a part of Touch Podium, and has been removed from the ‘About’ and ‘Contact’ pages.
That is in fact another reason why we are looking for a new writer or two here at Touch Podium.
Thanks for sharing and caring though.
Any other flaws you’d like to point out?

Why was Justin fired anyway? Is someone else going to take up the iTunes free music posts? Just curious. ^^

“I’ve decided to start this blog because I’ve noticed that there aren’t too many blogs in regards to the iPod Touch in particular.”
lol that is such BS, there are so many sites that started before this.
Appleiphoneschool
ipodtouchhacks
etc use google
February 26th, 2008 at 7:26 pm
To the troll: AppleiPhoneSchool is about the iPhone– not iPod Touch. Duh. And iPodTouchHacks is probably the sh*tiest blog ever made. Why the author even still posts escapes my understanding.

‘LOL’, I don’t understand your continued attempts to bring us down.
Try and be a bit more mature and grow up a little. You’re ridiculous.
You quoted my exact words, and still haven’t managed to prove anything of it. Do you not notice I posted “…there aren’t too many blogs…”? Too many, meaning that there aren’t a lot. I never once said there weren’t any at all.
You almost done making a fool out of yourself?
‘toomuchcaffiene’, Justin’s dismissal isn’t any of your business, no offense. If you care to find out, do feel free to ask Justin personally. But then again, I am at no consent to give you his e-mail address either.
Have a nice night you two.
