SDK: Steve’s Delaying the Kit
by Eric March on February 23, 2008 at 2:28 am
It rather figures, doesn’t it? Here we are, all waiting with bated breath for the release of the SDK, and Business Week goes and tells us that they have it on good authority that Apple is pushing its release date back a week or three. Apple is being perfectly stum about the whole thing, but the fact that there is still no hint of an Apple Event being organized probably says everything we need to know about that. Either way they say that something will be announced next week, and things are still moving along nicely, but it’s merely a question of whether it will be the SDK or word that it’s being pushed back a tad.
For those of you that are turning blue with anticipation, take a few deep, cleansing breaths, sit tight, and keep reminding yourself: It will come. It will come.

I really don’t understand anything that is going on within our tech world. I’ve been waiting years for some complete answer on release dates and since then I’ve either forgotten or really just don’t care anymore…I feel like I should just jailbreak my touch because until apple decides to release some apps I can use i can’t say it doesnt do anything for me. It isn’t like sf has wifi access around.

peezi, yea, it’s rather ridiculous, to say the least.
Release dates honestly shouldn’t exist. Half the time, they aren’t right anyway.
If you’re going to give a release date, make it a two month-span. ex: “SDK to be release Feb-Mar 2008″.
This stinks.

Wow. Lotta people shooting the messenger here with the ratings. Yer rating the story here, folks, not whether or not you like its message. It does suck — but I like to think I’m not that bad a blogger… sheesh.
(And to the dork at wideopenwest.com who’s going apesh!t with the 1-star ratings — you’re a dink. Get a hobby.)

“(6 votes, average: 1 out of 5)”
We got another 1 star vote on this story since Eric posted the above…
You guys really need to better understand why the rating system was implemented…
You’re rating the quality of the story written (grammar, punctuation, comedy, the image posted, etc…), not how you feel about what has been posted (which in this case is the set back of the release of the SDK).
Understand?…
