Starbucks QuickOrder - “Get your coffee fix, fast”

by Jody Mitoma on February 17, 2008 at 6:22 pm

Starbucks QuickPayQuickOrder will allow iPhone and iPod Touch users to order their favorite Starbucks drinks without having to wait in line. The application also includes QuickPay, which allows customers to use a swipe transaction system which makes use of semacode technology.

Be sure to visit the source to view a short flash video of QuickOrder in action!

The day this application is released, you will see me at my local Starbucks trying this out. Hopefully the oh-so-popular Canadian coffee stop Tim Horton’s gets a hold of this eventually! :-)

You do realize this is only a concept, right?

I was about to comment on the fact that this is only a mock up designed by an independent (not connected to Apple) graphics designer, but I’ve been beaten to it.

Here’s the original article, which confirms that is is only a proof of concept:

Even if Apple and Starbucks were launching this system, what would be the chances of their UI looking exactly the same as the mock up?
