Sega Genesis Coming to Touch

For months now, word on the street was that iPod Touch Fans user zacaj was going to be the one to work on a Sega Genesis emulator for the iPhone and Touch. Ultimately the project languished as zacaj’s compiler quit working on him, apparently. Now, the word according to iPod Touch Fans user Bernstein229 is that the project is being resurrected, and it should probably come as no surprise that it is ZodTTD, our emperor of emulators, that is picking up the standard. According to Bernstein229, it is allegedly being released to members of his beta test team today, which means it is in a state that is at least playable enough to test at the moment. Zod will also be aiming for SegaCD support, though it is likely that this will not be added until much later. The as-yet unnamed project is probably a few weeks away from a public release just yet however, so it’s a little soon for you Sega aficionados to be chomping at the bit, but now would be a good time to start stocking up on your ROMs to beat the rush.
