ZodTTD Unveils iPod Touch Video Sharing Site

by Eric March on February 12, 2008 at 10:35 pm

ZodVideoAs if he didn’t have enough on his plate, ZodTTD is branching out from emulators and native games to … video? As unexpected as it seems, ZodTTD, author of such hits as snes4iphone, gpSPhone and the port of OpenTTD, has just launched a video sharing site tailored especially for the iPhone and iPod Touch, though it is perfectly viewable on your PC or Mac as well. Although theoretically it could be used for sharing any type of video, it seems to contain largely iPhone and Touch-related content, as well as game trailers, G4 TechTV clips, and other such content.

Yes you heard correctly, ZodTTD.com is announcing the first free homebrew video streaming service compatible the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch.

While still in it’s public beta phase, it is fully functional and is free to use! It allows users to upload video to share, and even allows iPhone and iPod Touch users to view video via it’s Safari web browser!

So take a look, upload some content, and enjoy being a part of not only homebrew gaming, but homebrew video as well!

Any bets on how long before that place will be flooded with porn. I give it 48 hrs.

I’m sure he will be policing his site (as well as probably appointing a few moderators) to make sure that doesn’t happen. His terms of use forbid porn and illegal material. That doesn’t mean people won’t try, of course. That’s inevitable, so Zod’s got his work cut out for him.
