Native iPhone 1.1.3 Jailbreak Released: Works on Touch!

Jailbreak me, baby!Bet you’re sick of hearing about 1.1.3 jailbreaks, aren’t you? Anyone who has gone through the 1.1.1-restore/jailbreak/OktoPrep/1.1.2 update/jailbreak/BSD/OpenSSH/1.1.3 GUI Upgrade+jailbreak/fail/lather/rinse/repeat — as many of us have — probably never wants to have to go through that migraine again. Fortunately, you won’t have to — ever again. Zibree has released a “real” jailbreak — that is, a native jailbreak that cracks your freshly-restored 1.1.3 iPhone wide open!

Redownload file. NEW OPTION to ierase 3.9 bl basebands!

(This time i removed osx version because it still doesn’t work)
Well.. I think that’s enough testing… here you have ZiPhone !

It’s by far the most simple program to setup your iPhone.

Just run it and you will see it.

Windows + OSX versions !

The source IS available at

(SVN) http://iphone-elite.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ZiPhone/

and

http://www.iphone-elite.org/

The latest version of ZiPhone is always available at:

http://iphone-elite.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ZiPhone.zip

Details on how it works and WHY it works, will be released on the above site or wiki.

No ‘dev-team’ was directly involved with this work.

This program is based on the work of everyone who

believed in free software. (Thanks for the toolchain!)

Thanks to geohot for his latest work.

Thanks to Tissy for moral support.

Thanks to iphone-elite.org for support.

Thanks to Viper and Tifel and ortner for being so nice always.

Thanks to iRev for the picture above and to Mel Brooks for

producing and directing such a funny movie.

And thanks to iphoneelite.com for giving me so many laughs too :)

Namaste,

Zibri.

P.S.

As a side-effect, using this tool will revive many ‘dead’ basebands.

Just use the unlock option.

FOR PEOPLE with NO IMEI, NO WIFI, NO BASEBAND (4.6BL):

boot the phone in recovery mode.

then run: ziphone -u

Note that this is not the official Dev Team native jailbreak, and no Dev Team member was involved. Nevertheless, this apparently works like a charm and does its thing in under 10 seconds

But it gets better. iPod Touch Fans member trigg3r has repoted that this jailbreak also works on the iPod Touch!

1) Restore Ipod to 1.1.3: Turn off your ipod. hold the HOME button and plug to your computer USB. Itunes will open and shows the recovery mode. Recover to 1.1.3.

2) Run CMD (IF VISTA, an as administrator)

3) CD “the folder where ziphone was unzipped”

4) Enter: “ziphone -j”. Press ENTER.

5) It will ask you to enter in recovery mode: Turn off your ipod. hold the HOME button and plug to your computer USB.

6) Wait.

OMG! 10 seconds later, 1.1.3 jailbroken.
Let the flow of bugs come now.

Again, this is not the Dev Team’s official jailbreak, so use this at your own risk. Many users are reporting that it works fine, but others are having difficulty with the process sticking at a wait prompt. If you haven’t jailbroken your Touch yet, are stuck with a jailbreak version that doesn’t work properly, or just want to try this out, then give it a shot. Or you can wait for the official Dev Team native jailbreak in a couple of weeks.

Update (Feb. 13th): For those having problems with the Jailbreak, iPod Touch Fans user Teslanut has managed to work out what seems to be a foolproof method to get this jailbreak working right the first time:

15th Time is the charm! lol

Here is my specs and what I did:

Specs: 16 GB iPod + Windows Vista Ultimate + iTunes 7.6

Method used: ZiPhone 1.1 http://rapidshare.com/files/91327136/ZiPhone.zip.html

Guide:

1. For safety reasons, Kill all iTunes processes. Thats what I had.
2. Restore to 1.1.3.
3. After restore, exit iTunes and unplug your device. Wait till it shows the Restore screen again on the iPod.
4. Run iTunes again.
5. Plug in your Device.
6. DO NOT ENTER A NAME OR ANYTHING.
7. Press the Eject button. KEEP THE iPOD PLUGGED IN.
8. Exit iTunes.
9. Start ZiPhone’s GUI
10. Select Jailbreak and Verbose mode.
11. Click Start. (NO NEED TO GO INTO RESTORE MODE. It does it for you.
12. Keep it plugged in until it finished, restarts, and goes to your Home Screen.

Voila, Jailbroken 1.1.3. I even have Installer.app.

Hope this helps.

Happy Hacking.

The links to download Ziphone are not working… =(

I do agree the process is tedious. . .but the first Jailbreak I did(on 1.1.1) was with the very own planetbeing(dev team), which was 74 steps long.

After he did his he walked 2-3 of us(in the IRC channel) through the same process.

That is something I would hate to have to do over and over.

Hmm, Mike, you are correct.. It seems as if the host removed the file from the server…

I am attempting to find the file now, but am not having too much luck. I will update the post if I do find the Ziphone download.

    Sorry about the inconvenience!

Doug, I couldn’t imagine having to do a 74 step process jailbreak after going through what I had to go through to jailbreak my iPod Touch to a 1.1.3… Took over 6 hours for me, and over 10 hours for Eric as he had to re-jailbreak over and over again!

every time i try to jailbreak
while running ziphone gui it tells me to wait 45 seconds,
on my ipod screen it works fine until it gets to a line in the code that says “Spamming AT, Waiting for a response”. then it just stops and every time it gets to there and stops.

    what am i doing wrong?
