We Apologize For The Frequent Issues (Parse Errors) Between The Hours Of 3:00PM And 3:30PM
by Jody Mitoma on February 9, 2008 at 3:50 pm
Good evening, readers. This morning, Eric and I (Jody) have been working very hard to get Touch Podium working in tip-top shape.
As you’ll notice, we’ve installed a new theme, as we were having a few issues with the previous theme.
I won’t get into to much more details as to what else I had to take care of this afternoon, but it did take me three hours to get it all done!
Now, I’m not sure if that’s because I’m not an experienced programmer, or because I just had that much shit to do, but I will tell you this - I’m glad it’s all over and done with.
You’ll probably have already guessed that this is why you have been seeing frequent Parse Errors show up between 3:00PM and 3:30PM EST (GMT -05:00) if you were surfing Touch Podium around that time. We’d like to apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and be safe! :-)
Update (9:07PM EST):
We’re still working on fixing a few issues with the website not formatting correctly in Internet Explorer (what a piece of shit…) Sorry for the troubles within the next couple of hours!
Update (10:07PM EST):
We’re done! Things are finally exactly how we want them. :-)

Clean it up, Jodie. There’s no need or excuse for vulgarity.

First of; Ollie, my name is Jody.
The only reason I said what I said, was to express how I really feel about what I was talking about (which in this case, was Microsoft’s Internet Explorer).
I feel that saying the ’s’ word is not entirely a big deal, however, what I do find to be a big deal, blog-wise anyway, is the ‘f’ word or any offensive or discriminative material. You will never see a written post by me, containing any of the three.
I hope that clears things up for you.

Jody,
Sorry for the misspelling of your name. My intent wasn’t to start off here on the wrong foot, but apparently I have. My applogies.
My thought is that any expletive invites other, more coarse verbiage. When some see that the “s” word may be used so casually, they see it as license to jump in with any and all words that they can use at will. I am saddened when I see that door being opened. There are better ways to express oneself. Again, if I appeared to be terse or as a member of the “potty police”, that was not my intention.
You need to know that I am truly impressed with your knowledge and expertise and the wonderful sites that you have created for all of us. The stuff you pull together is truly amazing! I will continue to read this blog first thing every morning. Thank you.

Ollie,
It’s alright. You’re not the first to misspell my name anyway.
I understand where you are coming from, but I still feel using the “s” word once in a blue moon will not do anyone any harm. I mean, I will not be using it often. To be honest, as far as I can recall, this post was the first time I ever cursed on this blog - am I right? I don’t plan to post vulgarity. It just - happens!
Take care of yourself Ollie. It’s great to know we’ve got daily visitors such as yourself. Also, thanks for even taking the time to mention this. I hope no feelings were hurt.
