10 Beautiful Summerboard Themes - Round-Up 02
by Eric March on February 9, 2008 at 11:35 pm

Hello, and welcome to another edition of the Best of Summerboard. Personally, I cannot get enough of your beautiful Summerboard themes, so here is the second round-up. But this time, we’ll be sticking with only the top 10. In fact, it’ll only be the top 10 from here on. We will be hosting a contest here at Touch Podium for Summerboard theme designers within the next couple of months, so be sure to work extra hard on your next line of themes! I won’t get into too much detail right now, but what I will let you in on is that the prizes will be cash through PayPal for the top 3 of the list, with first place getting the largest sum of money. More on this at a later date!
Without further ado, here is the next batch of top 10 most beautiful Summerboard themes!

10. Tubs by Theaumas
Dark and gritty, Tubs opens the second round of our Best of Summerboard.

9. UnL0CkER
I wish I knew who the originator of this theme was, but his name seems to be lost in the mists of time (and Google). Nevertheless, this is the original UnLoCkER theme from which many other themes were based - and there’s nothing like an original.

8. The Gee Theme by Rupert Gee
This ain’t no frilly girly theme, son. This is a man’s theme. Only body builders and lumberjacks need apply. The Gee Theme, proudly proclaiming “For Men by Man”, sports an edgy stamped metal appearance, and makes you want to do the Tim Taylor grunt.

7. Theme: Realize Mod by berkey93
(The red boxes indicate new icons added)
Beautiful soft edges over stylish icons give this a pleasant, easy-to-digest veneer.

6. Sticker by David Lanham and Louie Mantia
Corkboard and peeling stickers — really, it just exudes cool. You feel like you can just pick one of those off.
Where: iPhoneskinning
5. Somatic by Axero
Stylish cartoon icons and a nifty background give this one a place in the top 10.

4. JTRwallace by Phiberglass and JTRwallace
Sporting a nice dock and some cool (if eclectic) icons, JTRwallace nevertheless goes for a minimalist design that’s pleasing to the eyes.

3. Doodles by greenenvy
There have been many imitators, but the original Doodles skin has remained the favourite hand-drawn-style skin to date — and it’s easy to see why.

2. Moonlight by TheAppleTree
This cool skin sports a beautiful glowing electroluminescent vibe about it that is reminiscent of the old Olympus m:Robe 500i interface. (For those that don’t remember, the m:Robe was a drop-dead sexy-looking touchscreen PMP with a digital camera, cool UI and utterly horrendous molasses-in-january performance.)

1. Time Machine 3.0 by digitalkid56 and boostin4hp
One of the longest running and most prolific skins, Time Machine by digitalkid56 has had a faithful following with dozens of users adding their own icons and backgrounds to the mix. This is the most recent third-party update by boostin4hp from the modmyifone forums and features almost all recent icon additions and some bonus wallpaper, plus support for the Categories app.

And that about wraps up this Best of Summerboard installment. There are absolutely tons of incredible skins out there, more are constantly turning up, so we’ll have another batch for you soon. Meanwhile we’re going to gear up for our forthcoming Summerboard Themes contest, so stay tuned!
